My name is Simon, and I began working with children in the year 2000, working with a wide range of young people who have special educational needs, learning difficulties and emotional and behavioral difficulties. My background is Outdoor Education, and I have worked in some very challenging environments across the UK and Europe.

I have prior experience of working in a 52-week residential placement for another company as well as working in two separate residential specialist education schools in my career. I have worked my way through a variety of different roles in my time working in the care industry. I hold a Level 4 in Health and Social Care, Level 4 & Level 5 in Leadership and Management and I am also the principal PRICE instructor for North West Child Care Services Ltd. I believe in a proactive, solution focused approach to childcare, which weighs heavily on guided experiential learning. I work at Ireleth House and ensure a homely atmosphere that is child-centered, in all approaches that we take. I really enjoy training staff teams to be the best they can be for our children and you will mostly find me outdoors in my spare time.
